Confess is a Hard Rock/Heavy Metal/Glam Punk band from Stockholm, Sweden with influences of the 80's. ”Confess can be recommended as a very explosively and distinctive live band” In late 2008 the lead singer John Elliot formed the band, and soon Samael would join the band as the drummer. The band started write their own material right away, and a couple of shows around Sweden were immediately on the schedule. The band released a demo in 2010 and the responses were really good. Denver joined for the guitar and the writing for the future release was in the making . Confess went into the studio in early 2010 to record a couple of new demos. During the recording process Confess got signed by an American based label called Sliptrick Records. Another guitarist was added to the band named Blomman (The Flower Boy). In the early summer of 2011, Confess headed out for a Show-case tour in Latvia with Sliptrick friends, Thyreos & Scarlet Violet. In the fall of 2011 Confess entered the Soundfraction Studios to begin the recording what was to become "The Gin Act". The EP was produced/mixed by Johan Lund and Co-producer Eddie Siojo. Right after the recording of “The Gin Act” a new bass player joined the band, Lucky.

OK, an official bootleg now from The Raped on Iguana Records and discogs says: a shock-punk band from the UK, formed in early 1977 by Sean Purcell (vox), Faebhean Kwest (guitar), Tony Baggett (bass) and Paddy Fields (drums). Later on, they changed their name to Cuddly Toys as well as their image and style of music. They released two 7Inches on Parole Records and on this record are thirteen rough punkies, the a-side is recorded live at the Vortex, London 10.10.1977 and the b-side shine with studio outtakes and demos fron 1977-1978. Excellent sound with offensive lyrics, damn cool.

Excuses is Street Punk band from Ireland, started in Sligo in 2004. Paul 13 was playing music with Deadly Wesley presley (drums) and Dessie was on bass. Jasper answered an ad Paul 13 had placed in the internet cafe looking for Punk vocalist. Dessie was repalced on bass by Shane Pain, who was a competent bassist. Dessie became our loyal roadie, indeed he is regarded as the fifth member of the band and rarely (only through sickness) misses a gig or a rehearsal.

Marc Benno was known through the Asylum Choir with Leon Russell in the end 1960s. He is still a Texas musician who actives as a blues guitarist, a piano player, a singer songwriter, etc ... in the United States.

He was born in Dallas in 1947. Thanks to the environment which managed the Texas State Fair's Music Hall Gardens, he always has a special good luck with music, as Benno met stars like Sam Cooke, Laverne Baker, Frankie Avalon, Paul Anka, The Drifters, Lloyd Price and so on ... in the backstage. He had special music talents.

When Benno headed to LA to further his career in the mid-1960s, he started his own music activity. As you know, he released two albums of the Asylum Choir with Leon Russell. He raised his career for his work which was including guitar session at LA. Woman album of The Doors and cooperating many musicians like Eric Clapton , Lightnin' Hopkins, Bill Wyman, Georgie Fame, Rita Coolidge, Eddie Murphy, etc...

In 1970, Benno contracted formally with A&M Records and at last he released his the first solo album, Geographic environment of the Southern United States is good for the blues musicians, elements of music taken to professional musicians form childhood, the natural talents and faithfulness, the musical wisdom and technology in learning collaboration with others, and the passion and love for music which only he knew all of them was made to one work.

As a Texas blues guitarist to play well, Marc Benno's the first album 'Marc Benno' will not be able to explain without his beautiful guitar as The Doors Album which was invited to work. Despite of soulful mood and distinctive sticky rhythm of easily attractive the Southern music his confident guitar without over and lack playing, piano : Booker T. Jones, bottleneck guitar: Ry Cooder, Gerry McGee, Jerry Scheff, Jim Horn etc... outstanding performances in several sessions. Rita and Priscilla Coolidge sisters's a fantastic chorus part everything is perfect breathing. Songwriting passed on the sweet melody and Marc Benno's light blues is not only the musical completeness but the worth as a masterpiece remembered in our heart.

After Ambush's recording, Benno formed a new band, Marc Benno & The Nightcrawlers, who were primed to become the next big thing, and went off on tour opening for Humble Pie and The J.Geils Band - getting star treatment on tour. One of the Nightcrawlers was a young guitarist named Stevie Vaughan(he'd start using Ray later).

During 1974-75, his childhood influences came full circle when he joined Lightnin' Hopkins' band as 2nd guitar player. Benno's career got an unexpected boost in 1985, when his song "Rock & Roll Me Again" won the Grammy for Best Score for a Motion Picture, he got a more popularity.

Until now, he was been working hard, writing songs, releasing albums. He has become a venerable blues's giant and musician. As if he may be similar to backstage's images of many music starts who met in childhood. But it is sure that he is already a great bluesman.

Trans-Atlantic Subway were five high school pals from Cambridge, Mass., who set out to perform rhythm & blues and rock and roll. The lineup featured Mark Byrne (lead guitar), Tom Hesse (lead vocals), Steve Ning (bass), Ken “Skip” Curry (rhythm guitar) and Paul “Mac” MacDonald (drums). All lived in the Agassiz School area except for Mac, who was from nearby Somerville.

The band was originally called The Prophets and Mark made up business cards freshman year at Rindge Technical High School (see photos below).

In late 1966, Trans-Atlantic Subway went into Lightfoot Studios in Jamaica Plain, Mass., and recorded two original Hesse/Byrne compositions: the upbeat “Servant Of The People” and the somber “Winter Snow.” According to Mark, the band originally planned another slower/moody song to back “Winter Snow,” but their manager wanted an upbeat one instead. The band considered “Servant” more of a novelty — their take-off on the Kinks’ “A Well Respected Man,” about a cop named Tony who used to bug them at their local hangout — but obliged and recorded it for the A-side.

(Lightfoot Studios was owned by and operated by Gordon G. Lightfoot, no relation to the Gordon Lightfoot. The studio became Third World Recordings, infamous for recording and releasing The Shaggs “Philosophy Of The World” LP.)

The 45 was released in Spring 1967, but within six months the band would dissolve, playing their final gig in October or November of that year. Friend Donny Coughlin joined the band as organist for the show.

Mark and Mac went on to a heavier outfit called Instant Up, who opened up for Procol Harum and Moby Grape, but never released any records.

Mark switched around his last name from Byrne to Brine and moved to Tennessee to pursue a career in country music, with numerous releases under his belt to date and critical acclaim. In 2012 he published a book, The Book Of Odes (Factory Boy), a not-so-thinly-veiled account of his time with Trans-Atlantic Subway. It can be found here.

Sadly, Steve Ning died of a brain aneurysm in 1989 at the age of 38.

I think this tape came out in '91. I had it in high school back when you could order straight from The Mentors by calling their hotline. I lost my tape around 2000, I'm guessing. Since I got online and learned of P2P groups, I've been looking for this. Over 15 years.

I met a guy on Soulseek who finally has it. He got it directly from Heathen Scum. He said the sound if off, songs are out of order and 1 of El Duce's 3 tracks is missing. It's FLAC but not sure the quality or if I'll post it but he also directed me that it's on Youtube in it's original order, quality and full track list so I'm giving the link to you. To many Mentors fans, you've probably never heard this or will get the chance again.
