Adolf & The Piss Artists is an Oi!/Street Punk band with HC influences from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. They formed in 1993. Out of the ashes of Adolf &The Piss Artists comes a band, known simply as A.P.A. Formed on the foundation of A.P.A.'s originator and well known street philosipher Chet Knight who also plays in the skinhead cult band The Templars. Recruiting Don Shumate of Anti-Heros/Murphys Law fame to play drums, as well as Dick The Mic. on guitar formerly of No Holds Barred, and last but certanly not least Mark Magee of Condemned 84/The Glory/Anti-Heros on guitar as well. Some have begun to call this a supergroup of sorts, but the band is not content to live by reputation alone.They played real street-level protest punk. From working class kids for working class kids. No bullshit, just abrasive rowdie punk Aggressive, and uncompromising. Their style: some called it "Skunk Rock", which isn't a bad description. Very early 80's style Punk/Oi! with some '77, and even some old US hardcore. Lyrically they sang about real life issues, but not the beer/fighting cop-out that passes for Oi/punk in some circles. The lyrics were ever political, it was street politics that effect our everyday lives, not some Crass booklet copycating bullshit. In the fall of 2004 these guys toured w/ Lars Fredriksen & The Bastards, as well as Roger Miret & the Disasters. They have also shared the stage with the likes of The Exploited, Subhumans, 999, Cro-Mags, Anti-Nowhere League, and The Adicts to name a few.
