Armed Riot originally formed by Jeffrey Stork, Michael Stork, Chris Dunaway, and Dallas Sable in Arlington somewhere around 2000 with a noticeable old school hardcore and street punk sound (think Black Flag, GG Allin, etc.). Austin replaced Dallas on guitar in 2001. We wrote a couple more songs and quickly recorded what we had in our Dreamworld practice space that we practically lived in (that practice space had so many memories, from Leftover Crack to Arm in Arm macing Mexicans!). We titled it "Better than Beer" and included songs like Red Cadillac, Two Skins, Shoot Blink 182, Beer Pressure, Grab a Guinness and more. Then we started writing in a slightly different style with a little more Oi! and '77 influence, and got in the studio again to record the Full Length Attack that we never actually did anything with, including songs like Hey!, Violence Over Voices, and Boot Up or Die. We played Dreamworld and Red Blood Club mostly, as those were the central points for punk rock in their respective cities. Eventually, the scene in Dallas started dying off a bit, and we suddenly were not able to play so many shows. At some point (can't remember when), Jeff joined Jump Boys and took the '77 influence to a whole new level, whereas Armed Riot tried to retain the street punk sound. Jump Boys revived the scene and started gaining more notoriety than Armed Riot, and we slowly fell apart. Michael would go on to play bass for a stint with Damage Case, and Austin went on to form the Broadsiders. I haven't kept up with Chris, so I'll leave this spot for an update on him sometime in the future. Jeff did well with Jump Boys, but tragically passed away. Rest in Peace!
